FEBRUARY 2023 ADULT FICTION SPOILERS

Welcome to our first month including digital spoilers. We hope that you are excited about the change. Reducing waste is very important to us, and we plan to find creative ways to be as green as we can. We're doing a trial run on the digital spoilers, so if we find most of you enjoy the change, it will become permanent. If not, we will return to using pamphlets later in the year.

AUTHOR LETTER:

Over the years, HER BURIED LIVES has gone through many different iterations and titles, but one thing has remained a constant: its core message of family and hope. Writing this novel was an exercise in self-reflection for me. As someone who struggles with mental health issues - specifically, intrusive thoughts - I felt the need to explore the subject further. My characters have responded differently to their circumstances than what is necessarily realistic, as this book is meant to be a thriller rather than an accurate portrayal of my own story or those of others going through similar experiences.

Jenny, though she may not show it outwardly, carries her fair share or trauma and pain that she's learned to internalize and bottle up until it threatens to spill out uncontrollably. In doing so, she conveys something universal about how our experiences can shape us fundamentally until we are brave enough to take control of our lives again. Even in bleak times like these, I aim to show how powerful family bonds can be in providing safety and strength. With HER BURIED LIVES, I hope my readers will feel inspired by the courage of their characters long after they finish reading my words.
